The Wine
The 1979 was initially selected for long-term ageing by Graham’s Head Winemaker and Master Blender, Peter Symington (third generation), and now, almost half a century later, it has been chosen for this limited bottling by his son and successor, Charles (fourth generation).
Tasting
Enticing floral aromas of honeysuckle with delicate hints of butterscotch and toffee. A sensual, silky palate silk delivering flavours of apricot and marmalade preserves with traces of walnuts and dried fruits. A long, lingering finish with subtle notes of nutmeg, tea, and a touch of tobacco.
Storage & Serving
It is recommended that the wine be served lightly chilled to enjoy it at its best. Once open, the wine will keep in good condition for up to 8 weeks.
