This is the ultimate expression of terroir in the Douro, produced from our principal estate.
Bold and powerful: a true Malvedos thoroughbred.
A very dry and mild winter and spring were counterbalanced by cooler summer conditions, including some exceptionally well-timed rain at the end of August, which made a real difference just before picking began.
A great Malvedos with typical minty aromas and undertones of cacao and berry fruits. The mouth has a firm tannic structure and succulent blackberry flavours. A bold, powerful wine promising many years in bottle. A true Malvedos thoroughbred.
